Score 90/100 · Drink 2016-2027, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Apr 2019
The 2010 Barolo is a soft and expressive Nebbiolo that offers a large swathe of aromatics. The wine starts off with dried berry and cherry aromas that segue to spice, tar, licorice and campfire smoke. The wine's consistency is dense and rich. Subtle tones of coffee and toasted almond round off the finish.

The 2010 Barolo shows good up-front juiciness in a forward style meant for near-term drinking. Sweet red cherries, plums, tobacco and spices wrap around the soft finish. The aromatics could be cleaner, but overall, this is a solid, if not particularly exciting, offering.
