Score 85/100 · Drink 2014-2017, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Aug 2014
The 2013 Chablis has a pretty and quite floral bouquet with apricot blossom and orange zest infusing the citrus fruit. The palate is clean and fresh with good acidity and a fine mineral component, even though the finish pulls up a little short and lean. Drink now-2017. Domaine Barat is presently run by the Angele and Ludovic Barat, who joined their parents Joelle and Michel in 2000. Ludovic tends the 11 hectares of vines under organic principles and Angele has managed the winery since 2008, using natural yeasts and fermenting in stainless steel vats. I have to remark, I found the wines did not hit the heights that I was hoping. Importer: Chamber & Chambers (San Francisco) and Juan Pietol.
