Score 91+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Nov 2009
Medium red. Brooding, balsamic aromas of strawberry, tobacco, dried flowers and camphor. Juicy and bright, with excellent depth to the classic Barbaresco fruits, flowers and underbrush. A bit lower in pH than the 2007 version, and the wine's tannins are accentuated by its acidity. I'd give this at least a few years before pulling the cork.
