The 2012 Chablis Bougros from Piuze is maturing nicely in bottle. It has a clean and quite clinical, almost Zen-like bouquet with fine delineation. The palate is extremely well balanced and comes armed with a fine sense of salinity. Quite Puligny-like toward the persistent finish. This has a promising future. Tasted from an ex-domaine bottle at the Piuze dinner at Noizé.

It's all finesse in the 2012 Chablis Bougros. The flavors are bright, crystalline and finely cut. Mint, crushed rocks and white orchard fruits are some of the many notes that race across the palate in this super-finessed, airy Chablis from Patrick Piuze. There is so much to like here.
Reticent but pure aromas of citrus peel, white flowers and powdered stone. Dense, suave and intense on the palate, showing terrific definition to its citrus and saline flavors. Conveys an impression of mineral intensity without weight and finishes bright and long. This may not have the depth or nuance of the Blanchots but it's balanced from day one.
The 2012 Chablis Bougros impresses for its energy and focus. Beams of acidity and minerality support smoke, apple, green pear, spice and mint notes in a crystalline Chablis endowed with tons of pure drive. Expressive floral notes add an attractive upper register as the wine opens up in the glass.
