Score 88/100 · Drink 2013-2017, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2013

The 2007 Barolo Boscareto is laced with dried cherries, crushed flowers, worn-in leather and tobacco notes. Already quite forward, it is best enjoyed over the next few years, as the fruit has already begun to dry out, while the aromatics are not close to fully mature.

Very fine and aromatic and multilayered, sweet and complex. Playful, fine mouthfeel, but seriously structured. Acidity turns up only on the finish. Persistent and multilayered finish. Impressive stuff. (WS)
