Score 90-93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2005
(still some malic acidity remaining) Ripe, fruit-driven aromas of candied lemon peel, grapefruit and apple, with a whiff of fermentation character. Plump, silky and sweet, with an impressive chewiness and volume for the vintage. Broadens out like a grand cru on the back, finishing uncompromisingly dry and very long, with some underlying stoniness.
