Single 2 ha vineyard, picked in six different passes. Oak fermented, with bâtonnage. Exotic, rich, complex, opulent – yet the palate retains a breezy, easy-drinking lightness – a rare feat for Viognier. Lengthy, pure, expressive, savoury, satisfying. (RH)

The 2012 Condrieu Clos Boucher, which spent 12 months in 30% new and 60% two- to three-year-old barrels, with the balance in tank, offers classic and gorgeous notes of spiced pears, flowers, citrus and vanilla bean to go with a medium-bodied, fresh and lively feel on the palate. Possessing textbook Condrieu richness, it is perfectly balanced and quite fresh. Wine Advocate #210 Dec 2013
