A rich, beautiful red with berries and hints of hazelnut. Full body with velvety tannins and a long, intense finish. A triumph for Barbaresco in 2010. Better in 2016.

Dark cherry, plums, spice and menthol notes emerge from Vietti's 2010 Barbaresco Masseria. A big, powerful wine, the 2010 appears to still be suffering the effects of its recent bottling. It will be interesting to see if the wine settles down. There is plenty of depth in the glass, but the elements aren't fully put together yet.
