Dark crimson.  Some fresh lifted fruit here.  Some depth, and this is fresh.  And chunky dark Pomerol fruit in the mouth.  Clean and pure with a touch of cream.  Polish and depth.  Pomerol chunk with a hint of lift.  This is very good.  And it persists.  Fresh acidity.  Textured and precise.  Very good. Joss Fowler, FINE+RARE, April 2014.

The 2013 Clinet has a dense nose with light black fruit and incense, missing some delineation and not as complex as recent vintages, as you might expect. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe tannins and fine acidity. Not a complex Clinet, yet it's balanced with no greenness, sporting decent weight with a peppery finish. What you might call a serviceable Clinet. Tasted at Bordeaux Index's 10-Year On tasting.

Clinet has maintained appellation signature in this challenging vintage, but lacks the luscious mouthfeel that the estate delivers so regularly. Focus here on blueberry and raspberry fruit, sudded with liqourice, cloves and black pepper. Ronan Laborde owner. 33hl/h for the grand vin, 60% new oak. Second time I have tasted this 2013 in three months, and there is pleasure here, ready to drink.

Healthy crimson. Quite severe and bone dry. Where's the flesh?! Not much fun … Very drying on the end. (JR)
