The 2013 d'Angludet has a conservative bouquet with hints of blackberry and cranberry, a touch of sous-bois and cold steel. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly hard tannin on the entry, but the middle feels hollow and almost skeletal towards the finish. I have tasted better wines from this Margaux estate in recent years.

Subtle but super quality perfume on the nose, underscored with black cherry fruit. The finish is comparatively rapid, and there isn't enough gustsiness for long ageing, but this is an enjoyable shorter term drink. (RH)
Black fruit, and something a bit animal on the nose too. Moderate tannic feel, simple finish. Perhaps a little thin. (RH)

About the producer
The Sichel family purchased this Margaux estate in 1961, embarking on significant renovations. Wine quality was transformed and today the property still strives to craft ever-greater wines.
