Tasting notes
Bright medium red. Musky raspberry, redcurrant, pepper and menthol on the nose. Juicier and tighter than the Savigny, and showing less easy sweetness in the early going. Red berry and licorice flavors are supported by a serious tannic spine. Finishes sappy and persistent, with a saline quality.

Good deep red. Ripe aromas of cherry, chocolate and herbs. Fat, sweet and rich; a bit thick for my taste but with good vinosity. A very ripe style with solid acids and tannins.
Reduction renders the nose impossible to evaluate. The round, generous, fleshy and supple medium weight flavors are shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins where the abundant gas dries the finish somewhat. My range offers the benefit of the doubt that the dryness is due to the gas and not to under ripe tannins. Tasted: Apr 15, 2014. Drink: 2019+
