Tasting notes
Bright palish red. A bit more diffuse on the nose than the Cent-Vignes, but still with attractive floral lift to the aromas of cassis, spices and leather. Supple, sweet and concentrated, with ripe dark berry flavors accented by pepper. A bit youthfully austere today and in need of patience.

Deep red. Wild, nuanced nose melds medicinal dark cherry, herbs and leather. A step up from the Cent-Vignes in lift and definition in the mouth. More tannic, too, but has the concentration to support its backbone.
Reduction. This also displays a relatively refined mouth feel as the plump and rounded medium-bodied flavors are delicious and a bit more concentrated as well before terminating in a solidly long and complex finish. There is less gas present and as such this is a bit easier to assess. Tasted: Apr 15, 2014. Drink: 2020+
