Mid crimson. Big sweet black cherry nose – very unusual for a 2007! Lively zappy nervy palate – rather burgundian in fact. Nice drink even if not the most typical St-Émilion and perhaps not the most appetising, but very good for a 2007. (JR)

Rather a weak rim. Nose dominated by sweet oak. Lots of frank fruit on the palate – a very natural wine on the palate, which is why the oak on the nose is a shame but will perhaps dissipate. This is rather a distinguished wine – no artifice. (JR)

Sweet spice and berry aromas lead to a medium-to-full body, with fine tannins, an earthy berry aftertaste and a medium finish. Drink now. 2,665 cases made. James Suckling,Wine Spectator 2010.
