1999 Norheimer Kirschheck Spatlese

Effusive vanilla, pear and lilac flower aromas proclaim a Spatlese of extreme ripeness and great purity. Honeyed and glyceral-rich in the mouth, wearing its sweetness rather obviously, this exudes pear butter and strawberry cream in the finish, with subtle, lasting florality. I suspect this will improve with time, as the sweetness backs off a bit. Potential 2 stars.
