I had several decent tasting notes on this wine in the early eighties, but when tasted twice recently, the wine appeared out of balance, with a light to medium ruby color, some dusty red fruit aromas, but high acidity, as well as a lack of body and depth. All of this causes me great concern over the wine's future. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 5/89.

About the producer
The Quié family purchased Pauillac Fifth Growth Ch. Croizet-Bages in 1942, adding Rauzan-Gassies four years later. Once part of the same estate as the neighbouring Rauzan-Ségla, this Margaux property was split off in time for the 1855 Classification, earning Second Growth status.
