Slightly deeper color than the Chassagne. Steelier aromas of peach, apple, menthol and mint. Then tender, supple and elegant in the mouth, at once dry and rich. A less fruity style than the village Chassagne.

White flowers and fresh herbs can be discerned in the nose of the 2002 Puligny-Montrachet. Medium-bodied, lush, and satiny-textured, it combines a creamy texture with flavors of crisp, fresh pears. This well-concentrated, expressive wine should be consumed over the next 7 years. Importer: Kobrand, Inc., New York, NY; tel. (212) 490-9300
