(domain wine; bottled in January of this year) Slightly exotic cast to the aromas of soft citrus fruits; less pure than the 2009s that preceded it. Soft, tactile and sweet, with the exotic quality carrying through in the mouth. Has the fruit and flesh to balance its ripe acidity. Finishes with very good length. Boillot told me he kept the rose grapes in 2008 but eliminated those that were affected by grey rot.

Based in Meursault and farming some of the finest vineyards in the Côte de Beaune, Henri Boillot is a leading address in Burgundy. He crafts fine Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but the estate is best known for its flagship monopole vineyard, Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos de la Mouchère.
