Score 91/100 · Drink 2025-2045, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Mar 2022
Served blind, Coche's 2005 Volnay 1er Cru performed very well, offering up aromas of sweet red berry fruit, forest floor, dried flowers and a discreet framing of oak. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and seamless, with powdery tannins, lively acids and a penetrating finish, it is still some years from full maturity, but it can be drunk with pleasure now.
