Not a particularly good bottle. Less expressive aromatically than the Greysac 2008 served alongside. A bit chunky and middle-aged. Stolid. Will the fruit ever emerge (again)? (JR)

Deep youthful crimson. Intense and inviting smoky dark fruit. Rich in fruit but savoury too. Brooding depths even with plenty of bright fruit. Finely dry texture, more savoury on the palate still, a touch meaty but not at all bretty. Fresh, graphite finish. Reasonably GV . (JH)

Bright crimson. Spicy cigar-box nose that could only be fine Médoc. Smooth and polished and very charming. Tastes like stereotypical Margaux! Ready now. But with potential and some tannins in the background. VGV (JR)
