Sweet and luscious on the nose. Tannins a little dry but chock full of flavour. Lovely already and with quite enough freshness. (JR)

(53% cabernet sauvignon, 43% merlot and 4% petit verdot): Dark red. Mellow aromas of plum, redcurrant and mocha. A supple, smooth, moderately sweet midweight with a slightly medicinal cast to its plum and spice flavors. Boasts good texture and ripeness and finishes with slightly drying but essentially harmless tannins.

Sweet spicy oak dominates at the moment, giving some hardness on the mid palate but the fruit shines from underneath the oak. On the obdurate side at the moment but has some cedary left-bank freshness and tannins finish on the dry side. (JH)

53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot. Lightish crimson. Rather obvious toasty nose. Perfectly fine but certainly not a cut above the rest even though this is a wine that is shown in the Union des Grands Crus tastings. Chewy end and just a tad too speciously sweet. Hint of cocoa even. (JR)
