2004 Macon Villages

Rich yellow fruit aromas are found in the nose of the 2004 Macon-Villages. This wine, which includes the grapes from Lafon’s Macon-Bussieres (declassified due to hail damage), is medium-bodied, suave, soft, and easygoing. Drink it over the next 1-2 years. Dominique Lafon’s eyes light up when he talks about his Maconnais estate, to the point that one senses he loves the challenge of doing something new, of starting something from scratch, after so many years of concentrating on the family’s Meursault estate.
