Tasting notes
This quiet nose gives nothing away. The flavour is all on the front palate, lots of tropical fruits, but that quickly fades with not enough acidity to hold it together.

The 2010 de Malle has a slightly Germanic bouquet with light petrol scents infusing the honeyed fruit. It does not quite leap from the glass. The palate is balanced with a viscous opening, good depth with plenty of tangy marmalade and quince notes, but it is missing some tension towards the finish. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal.
Pale to medium lemon-gold in color, the 2010 de Malle is a little closed at this stage, offering glimpses at lemongrass, crystalized citrus peel and lime blossoms with hints of allspice, fresh hay and orange marmalade. The palate is full and unctuous with loads of citrus flavors on offer and a pleasant tanginess to the finish.
Tasted blind. Marmalade, quite sour with lemon peel. Clean-cut and long, fat in the middle. (JH)
