Tasting notes
Score 88/100 · Drink 2014-2029, Robert Parker, Apr 2014

Always excellent, occasionally outstanding, this over-achieving Fronsac is consistently well-made regardless of vintage conditions. The 2011 possesses a dense ruby/purple color, floral, blueberry and black raspberry notes, a hint of crushed rock, medium body, good acidity, sweet tannin and a well-endowed finish. It builds incrementally, and should be even better with 1-2 years of bottle age. A sleeper of the vintage, it should last 10-15 years, possibly longer.

Zesty and fresh on the nose. Really racy. Not a grand wine but it should give enormous pleasure on a modest scale. (JR)

Dark but racy, offering lots of Linzer torte and blackberry fruit, with ample toast and spice, followed by a grippy finish. Should be very solid. James Molesworth, WineSpectator.com
