In recent years, Christophe Roumier's Corton-Charlemagne has become tighter and more focused. The 2011 strikes a nice middle ground, as it is quite generous on the palate yet also possesses terrific minerality. Pear, quince, pastry and white flowers form an attractive fabric in a Corton endowed with considerable immediacy.
