Nuts and a saline, sake-like nuance on the nose, along with a lurking hint of spearmint. Rich, broad and rather backward, with penetrating mineral, crushed stone and mint notes enlivening the apple and pear fruit. Very dry but with a subtle sweetness of fruit. This will need aging to absorb its alcohol. This southeast-facing site in Languettes always ripens well, notes Drouhin.
