Score 90/100 · Drink 2013-2017, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Aug 2013

The 2010 Savigny-les-Beaune has a lively, ebullient bouquet with strawberry and red currant scents – quite floral and very engaging. The palate is fresh and crisp on the entry, a firm backbone evident on the mid-palate with fine tension on the sorbet-fresh finish. This is an excellent Savigny-les-Beaune that is almost too delicious to let age. Drink now-2017. Importer: No known American importer.

Cool and fresh. Crackling cherry fruit. From three lieux dits with 10% premier cru vines; some from near the river and some from Fourneaux near Aloxe. Not flattering but very true. (JR)

The 2010 Savigny-lès-Beaune (from tank) shows remarkable intensity and depth at this level. Layers of dark red fruit flow through to the textured, inviting finish. This is all declassified 1er Cru fruit.
