Looks quite evolved. Round and easy. Not desperately ambitious but delivers some pleasure. No faults except a slight hollowness. (JR)
Middle-aged ruby with a blackish tinge. Sweet and gamey and attractive on the nose. Lots of pretty emphatic tannin still there on the palate – a dusty whole because the fruit seems to have evolved quite a lot even though there is lots of tannin left. My guess is that this will never reach perfect harmony but I like its frankness. (JR)
Rich and scented and actually quite refreshingly cool on the palate. Well managed. Neat and not over the top. Acidity quite marked. Neat finish. (JR)

With Ronan Laborde at the helm, this property has become one of Pomerol’s most sought-after. He has increased the proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, which historically represented half the vineyard area here.
