Tasting notes
Forward and evolved on the nose. Quite tightly laced on the palate as though it will never quite relax – chewy texture. Relatively big and blustering in its flavours for such a young Cuvée Frédéric Emile. They were probably right to release it relatively early. (JR)

(the various components of this wine were harvested from mid-September until mid-October) Pale medium yellow. Very minerally aromas of pineapple and crushed stone. Powerful, pure wine with flavors of raw pineapple, crushed and liquid stone and menthol. This has an almost painful intensity, as well as a light touch that's a pleasant surprise for the vintage. Finishes very long and powerful, with a youthfully aggressive character and a hint of almond. Offers an intriguing sweetness but not quite the energy of the 2004 example. Trimbach lightly acidified this wine to get a better pH.
