Mid crimson. Already quite transparent. Very pure nose with lots of evolution and smoothness. Very polished. Manages to be light on its feet and very refreshing despite all that ripeness. GV (JR)

Leafy, Cab Franc aroma and powder-dry tannins. Firm but smoothly textured and pretty dry on the finish. (JH)
Lively crimson. Light nose. Restrained, tea-leaf sort of wine. Mild mannered and even very slightly gawky on the finish. Not obviously from an extremely ripe vintage. Very ‘cool’. Nice balance. The opposite of showy with just a little greenness on the finish. (JR)
Tasted at Vintex. Very little on the nose at the moment, the palate very foursquare with some drying tannins towards the finish. Tasted twice. Tasted March 2010
About the producer
This estate saw a transformation when Guy Pagès bought it in 1970. His work, driving quality higher with increasing attention to detail and passion, has been continued by his son Patrice, who took over in 1985.
