Score 81/100 · Drink 2023, Neal Martin, Dec 2023

The 1964 Meyney had unfortunately fallen by the wayside a while ago. Fungal and not unlike walking into an old dusty attic on the nose, it's not terrible but not particularly enjoyable. The palate is better, a little austere with light black pepper and woody notes, the finish drying out. Drink up. Tasted at 67 Pall Mall at Chelsea Vintners' The Complete Bordeaux Vintage Guide dinner.
