Score 90-92/100 · Robert Parker
Produced from three separate terroirs (limestone, gravel/sand and a combination of both), this Merlot-based effort (92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc) exhibits notes of black currants, black cherries, licorice, tapenade, camphor and vanillin. It is neither as rich and majestic as the 2010 nor as explosively opulent as the 2009, but it reveals impressive ripeness, medium to full body, abundant glycerin and an attractive personality. Drink it over the next 10-12 years. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, April 2013
