Inky purple. Crushed blackberry, licorice, rose and violet on the pure, primary nose. Dense and sweet, with a strong Indian spice character and lovely freshness to the deep flavors of dark berries and licorice. Gentle acidity and supple, building tannins give this lush wine impressive shapeliness. Finishes on a sweet note, with very good persistence.

Bright and deftly balanced to deliver its ripe blueberry and sandalwood flavors on a sleek frame, emphasizing juiciness and balance over power without losing definition. Best from 2011 through 2018. 1,500 cases made. WineSpectator.com
