Tasting notes
The 2006 Perrin & Fils Vacqueyras Les Christins is a big, dense, dark fruited wine. Grilled meat and herbs, charred earth, iron, smoke and copious dark fruit aromas jump from the glass and there’s a slight volatile note that dissipates with air. It’s medium to full bodied in the mouth with ripe fruit, a smooth, soft texture and a long, enjoyable finish. This improves with air and should drink well over the next 5 to 8 years.

Good lift and relative savour and transparency. Very dry finish for now but the fruit is still admirably fresh despite the alcohol level. Those tannins need to soften but this is certainly well made. (JR)
Bright red. Seductive, laid-back strawberry and raspberry aromas are brightened by fresh rose and cracked pepper. Silky in texture, with sweet red fruit preserve flavors, gentle tannins and a long, sweet finish. Surprisingly delicate but not lacking for flavor punch.
