The 2010 Château Beauregard is still youthful, with a rich, mouthfilling style that benefits from air. Deep ruby/plum-hued with no bricking or lightening, it has a great nose of black cherries, currants, chocolate, and roasted herbs that give way to more spice and saddle leather as it sits in the glass. Medium to full-bodied, nicely balanced, with ripe and integrated tannins, this beauty has at least another decade of prime drinking ahead of it. Drink 2025-2035.

Darker and deeper in colour than the 2009, and overall far more successful in terms of fruit quality. Intense cocoa bean, espresso, slate, incense, crayon, flash of heat but more than enough acidity and freshness to rise up and balance it out. Enjoyable.
Dark purple. Rich fruited nose. Sweet start, and a little dry on the end. Very thick. Lacks freshness. But solid. (JR)

Named after its founder, Bernard Beauregard, this property is one of few Pomerol addresses to have an actual château – here a stately 18th-century construction designed by the man behind Bordeaux’s Grand Théâtre.
