Tasting notes
The 2008 Sérilhan has not quite kept pace with the 2009 or 2010. Mature on the nose with touches of violet complementing the loose-knit black fruit, the palate displays modest depth, full of lightly spiced black fruit, cedar and touches of pencil lead on the finish that is just beginning to show some dryness.

Luscious, fancy oak on nose. Loose though very chewy. Lots of acid and tannin – very drying. (JR)
Ripe dark fruit but with an attractive herbal edge to the aroma. Juicy but firm and dry. Lovely sweet tannins. Plenty of oak but well integrated. Fine, fresh and long. Tight, very dry, very firm, though it's fresh too. Hard work at the moment though there is balance, just not much pleasure. (JH)
A well-made, dark ruby-colored wine with good character and adequate fruit.
