Tasting notes
Pale yellow-gold. Peach, coconut, menthol and sexy oak spices on the nose. Sweet and smooth if a bit youthfully closed today, showing very good but not outstanding complexity. But this moderately fleshy 2003 comes across as suave, with its rich flavors of peach and lemon kept firm by sound acidity.

Medium yellow-gold. Reticent nose hints at very ripe apricot and nutty oak. Then sweet and bright in the mouth; fat but not heavy. Sappyflavors of apricot, baking spices and vanillin oak. Finishes fresh and long.
Deep gold. Rich and broad with nice restraint and dry spice on the nose. Perfumed, aromatic, almost Riesling flavours on the nose. Then big and bold on the palate. Seductive package with a long, throat-warming finish. Acidity is certainly not high but the balance is exciting. Early maturing. (JR)
