1986 d'Arche

This is a highly successful vintage for d'Arche. Not so rich or thick as the 1988, but more classy from an aromatic point of view, this full-bodied, concentrated wine exhibits telltale flavors of honeyed oranges and pineapples, and even the smell of coconut. The finish is long and crisp with a great deal of botrytis in evidence. Anticipated maturity: Now-2006. Last tasted, 3/90.
