Score 90+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2012

(a 65/35 blend of syrah and cabernet franc): Deep, bright red-ruby. Cassis, violet, bitter chocolate and licorice on the nose and palate. Sweet, pliant and nicely concentrated, but with its creamy texture balanced by ripe acidity. Rather bound-up on the back end, finishing with firm tannins and a slightly dry herbal element. Like the Against the Wine cabernet franc, this needs some time in bottle to gain in pliancy.
