2006 Les Grands Chenes

A classy bargain pick from the Medoc, this 2006 (part of the Bernard Magrez empire) is a blend of 64% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 14% Cabernet Franc. A dark ruby color is accompanied by aromas of leafy vegetation, berries, spice box, and earth. In the mouth there is very good fruit, light to moderate tannin, and surprisingly length.
