Tasting notes
Based on the 2015 vintage and disgorged in December 2018, the latest rendition of Callot's NV Brut Blanc de Blancs is showing well, offering up aromas of lemon oil, green apple, confit citrus, pastry cream and toasted almonds. Medium to full-bodied, rich and textural, it's a generous, gourmand wine, its fleshy core of fruit girdled by ripe acids. Open and inviting, this pleasure-bent wine is already drinking well.

Avize. Very frothy indeed. Tangy, hint of iodine, some complexity and quite interesting. A little ginger beery and soft on the palate – fizzy apple juice... It’s as gentle as a feather against the cheek and my score gives it the benefit of the doubt. Rather fast fade. (JR)
