Score 90/100 · Drink 2021-2025, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Apr 2021
The 2005 Les Gravières is loaded with dark fruit, gravel, scorched earth and dried herb flavors. There is a sense of exoticism in the 2005 that is hugely appealing. Soft and opulent, with tons of mineral savoriness, Les Gravières is super-expressive today. The 2005 is fully mature, but will drink beautifully for at least another handful of years.

Score 89/100 · Drink 2015-2030, Robert Parker, Jun 2015
Notes of earthy blackcurrant and black cherry fruit along with some new saddle leather and new oak are present in this medium to full-bodied wine made by Denis Barraud. Normally this is one of the sleepers of St.-Emilion, but in 2005 it falls just short of that. It is certainly excellent and can be drunk now or over the next 10-15 years.
