Tasting Notes
Gorgeously sweet aromas of black raspberries, cherries, and flowers jump from the glass of the inky ruby/purple-colored 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Chaupin. With a structured mouthfeel, superb intensity, moderately high tannin, and a long, heady, concentrated finish, it will benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age, and should drink well for 15+ years. Even better, the 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Chaupin was smoking good, with awesome herbes de Provence, pepper, garrigue and sweet Grenache-driven fruit. Full-bodied and rich, with sweet tannin, I loved it, and would plan on drinking bottles over the coming couple of years as well. Aug 2014, www.robertparker.com
