Tasting notes
The 1998 Rieussec is medium gold colored and scented of paraffin, dried lemon peel, key lime pie and musk perfume with an earthy undercurrent. Very rich, concentrated and sexy in the mouth, it sports layer upon layer of citrus, earth and fungi notes with seamless freshness and fantastic length. Wow.

Bright yellow. Cheesy, sulphides. Big and bold and edgy. Pretty unusual. (JR)
Much more evolved than the Climens 1998 on the nose. Another big, bold statement but with more mineral and fewer fruity notes in it than the Climens. Round and charming already with very supple ripeness and real power. Not the sweetest Sauternes; I could imagine this with foie gras. (JR)
