Drink 0-0, Neal Martin, Dec 2023
The 1962 Dom Pérignon looks a little turbid in the glass. Indeed, the aromatics feel enervated, and though there is decent weight, it runs out of steam on the muffled and ossified finish. Surely this bottle is not representative. Tasted at the 1962 dinner in Burgundy.

The 1962 Dom Pérignon offered perhaps a touch more clarity and freshness, if slightly less complexity, than the 1961. This was an understated wine that begged for a moment of quiet contemplation.
