Purplish crimson. Very sweet but rather sweaty/cheesy. Big, bold, unsubtle. Alan Sugar? Then masses of tannin and rather too obvious acidity. Extremely embryonic. Distinctly Unknit. Aggressive. Yelling at the top of its voice! Fladgate’s new label which came with Croft. (JR)

A fabulous nose of cassis and berries, with hints of licorice. Full-bodied and lightly sweet, with supersexy tannins and a long, long finish. Very classy. Superb for Delaforce. Best after 2012. 4,500 cases made. – James Suckling , Wine Spectator 2006
