Score 86/100 · Drink 2021-2025, Neal Martin, Jun 2021
The 1982 Clarke shows better than the 1979. At least there are some red fruit tones, with ferrous touches of chestnut and cigar boxes conveying the warmth of the growing season. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins. It's nothing terribly complex but balanced with a fully mature, slightly drying leafy finish. Drink this soon. Tasted at the château.
