Score 88/100 · Drink 2013-2023, Robert Parker, Feb 2013

Composed of 50 % Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine has lots of black currants and sweet cherries along with some tobacco leaf, licorice, and subtle background oak and earth. It should drink well for up to a decade or more. A 17-acre property whose wine one rarely sees, this St.-Emilion has performed extremely well and is undeniably a sleeper of the vintage in 2010.

Lively nose. Sweet start and transparent continuation. A polished wine that may take time to shine. Very dry but not excessively drying. A St-Émilion that tastes more like a Pauillac (after the first sniff)! Long. (JR)
