From a site located just down the slope from the les Murets lieu-dit, the 2005 Hermitage les Dionnieres has a touch of le Meal character in its jammy blackberries, black raspberries and bouquet garni bouquet. This gives way to a medium to full-bodied, polished, sexy Hermitage that’s still youthful, has tons of fruit, and an overriding sense of elegance. It will evolve for another decade and hold for longer.

Inky purple. Fragrant bouquet of red and dark berries, incense, smoky minerals and fresh flowers. Becomes more energetic and spicy with air, finishing with lovely sweetness, clarity and persistence. This is gorgeous, and I'll bet that it'll get better.
