Drink 0-0, David Schildknecht, Vinous
The honeyed, enveloping side of botrytis here, with gorgeous peach jam flavors and honeysuckle inner‑mouth aromas. Where the Spätlese #19 was ferociously gripping, this is gentle and soothing going down. The seemingly simple aspect of this wine may be misleading, but in any event there is such intensity of the few dominant flavors and such a wonderful richness of texture and perfection of botrytis that it impossible not to get excited.
