Tis is a big boy - bitter with black fruit and cocoa. Concentrated and tannic but there is real promise in the finish which is all dark chocolate and plums and with good lift at the end.

The 2010 Petit Village has an attractive bouquet with black cherries, bergamot and black tea aromas that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, strict tannins. Good acidity here, very classic in style with tobacco and graphite on the dry finish. It should be better. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal.

There was no frost damage at Petit Village in 2017. Composed of 71% Merlot , 20% Cabernet Franc and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2017 Petit Village displays a medium to deep garnet-purple color and needs a little coaxing to reveal notes of baked blackberries, boysenberries and plum preserves plus hints of Sichuan pepper, underbrush and iron ore. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a generous amount of black fruits with a solid, grainy frame and lovely freshness, finishing long with a spicy kick.

Deep garnet in color, the 2010 Petit Village reveals notions of baked raspberries, black plums and kirsch with nuances of tobacco, underbrush and charcuterie. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a rugged frame and ample black fruits preserves, finishing earthy.
